Kalpataru Projects International Limited (NSE: KPIL) today posted losses despite receiving new orders and awards worth a total of ₹2273 crore.
KPIL stock opened at ₹1257.90 in the morning and hit a low of ₹1197.15 and closed at rs 1195.
These new contracts are for two main segments, which are KPIL’s distribution and transmission sector and residential building projects located in India.
The new orders bring the total amount of orders received by the company up to Rs14,100 crore as of so far this year.
Order Flow Around ₹14,100 Crore
Manish Mohnot, Managing Director and CEO, KPIL said in a report, their order book continues to be strong with significant growth in the T&D business, especially in India.
They are also delighted to have won new orders in the Buildings & Factories business. This will help them improve their standing in the home construction sector.
Based on these purchases, their year-to-date total order intake is approximately Rs14,100 crore.
And more importantly, approximately half of their total order received to date comes directly from the T&D company.
Presence In Over 30 Countries
The company’s engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) operations are spread across over 30 countries, with a global presence in 74 countries.
KPIL’s net profit grew 39.7% year-on-year to ₹125.6 crore in the second quarter ended September 2024, from ₹90 crore in the same period last year.
Operational revenue increased 9.1 % to reach Rs4,930 crore over the period under review, compared to Rs4,518.4 crore during the same period last year.
KPIL’s EBITDA grew 83.8% to ₹438.3 crore in the second quarter of this fiscal, as against ₹238.4 crore in the same quarter last year.
