More Than 15000 Crore Ultra Mega Order

L&T Share Price: Larsen & Toubro Ltd (NSE: LT) has been given an order over 15,000 crore rupees to set up new thermal power stations located in Madhya Pradesh and Bihar.

Larsen & Toubro Ltd today announced it has received an order from NTPC. Energy Carbonlite Solutions business has received an “ultra mega” request from NTPC to construct Thermal power stations within Madhya Pradesh and Bihar. L&T has categorized the order of over Rs 15,000 crore as ‘ultra mega’.

Despite this good news, Larsen & Toubro Ltd’s share is not showing much growth. The share was trading at Rs 3638.10 with a marginal rise of 0.25 percent. 

On Tuesday, Larsen & Toubro Ltd’s share opened at Rs 3650 and fell to the bottom of 3601.60. Its 52-week high is Rs 3,919.90 and its low is Rs 3031.05.

What Is In The Order?

According to the report by Sarkaricash, the contract will cover the engineering and design production supply, construction and commissioning of turbines, boilers electrostatic precipitators, other equipment, and the related instruments, electrical, mechanical, and civil construction.

“We expect to complete the projects within strict timelines with exceptional results meeting high standards,” Larsen & Toubro Ltd Wholetime Director and Chairman (Energy) Subrahmanyan Sarma said.

Net Profit Up 5.4% Over Last Year

Larsen & Toubro Ltd reported its second-quarter figures last month. Its net profit rose 5.4% to Rs 3,395.3 crore from Rs 3,223 crore last year. Its revenue from operations rose 20.6% to Rs 61,554.6 crore from Rs 51,024 crore last year. 

EBITDA at the operating level grew 13% to ₹6,362 crore from ₹5,632 crore in the previous year. Its EBITDA margin stood at 10.3% as against 11% in the previous year.
