Stock Jumps 7% as ₹2,500 Crore NCD Plan is Announced to Boost Company Growth

PNB Housing Finance(NSE: PNBHOUSING) share reached Rs 1,084.95 during trading on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) on September 10.

The company’s board has approved raising Rs 2,500 crore through NCDs. The effect of this news was seen on the company’s share.

The company’s share increased by about 7.48 percent on Monday. Eventually, the company’s stock closed at Rs 1,076.60 crore with a gain of 5.20 percent.

Today on Tuesday this has seen a little correction though.

The board of directors has voted to increase the company’s capital up to Rs. 2,500 crore via the sale of non-convertible debentures (NCDs) within the next six months.

Transactions took place in 2.19 lakh share of PNB Housing Finance and its total turnover was Rs 23.06 crore.

This company is part of the BSE 500 index. According to the website of Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), the market capital of the company is Rs 28,007 crore.

The PE of the company’s share is 16.51 times.

According to the current data with BSE, the company’s share has given a return of 105.28 percent in the last three years.

In recent months, large-scale stake sales have been seen in PNB Housing Finance.

Carlyle Group, General Atlantic Singapore, and Asia Opportunities have sold their stake in the company.

In the June 2024 quarter, the net profit of the business increased by 25 percent to reach Rs 433 crore.

The company’s loan repayment during the relevant period increased 19 percent year-on-year to Rs 4,398 crore and retail payments accounted for 99 percent of it.

During this period, the emerging markets and affordable housing segment accounted for 33 percent of retail payments.
